Great To/From tags

My challenge for the last QuicKutz Crew meeting was to make To/From tags. You know how it is -- you plan on making tags for your gifts and run out of time. I usually find myself buying some ugly, cheap looking tags -- but they work, and I am out of time. This year, I thought it would be great if we swapped some To/From tags. I was not disappointed. These tags are awesome and I cannot wait to use them.

For the next QuicKutz Crew meeting on December 19, my challenge is to make something with your chosen word for 2009. Choose a word that will inspire you and help you focus on your goals. If you signed up for the swap, you probably won't be putting your word on those. Twelve people signed up to participate in the swap. If you are participating, please bring 11 identical tags or cards or ATCs.

Our second annual "Thank you for buying your QuicKutz at Lasting Memories" crop will be Saturday, January 10 from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. To be invited, you must spend at least $750 on QuicKutz. We will have food and fun and a visit with a representative from QuicKutz. If you have any questions about the crop, give me a call at Lasting Memories and I'll be happy to answer your questions.

Altering QuicKutz

Last year, QuicKutz had some fun shapes for a Father's Day release. There was a SHIRT & TIE, the DRILL, and the SAW (to name a few). A member of our QuicKutz Crew, Libby Foreman, took the SAW and made some great cards. On one of the cards, she used the saw and some flowers to look like gears. On the other, she made a great Thing 1 and Thing 2. Great job Libby!

The next QuicKutz Crew meeting is Friday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. Twelve people have signed up to participate in the swap. If you signed up, please bring 11 identical items to share. If you want to participate, please give me a call so I can add you to the list. Check back here to get the final number of participants. You may make anything you would like: a card, a tag, or an ATC.

My challenge for the next meeting is to choose your word for 2009 (a la Ali Edwards). My word for 2008 was GRATITUDE. A great word, it was my focus and theme for 2008. What word will you choose for 2009? See you soon at Lasting Memories! ~ Nancy :)

QK Crew Meeting FUN!

We had so much fun at the last QuicKutz Crew meeting on Friday and I have some pictures to share. Laura Worth, one of our crew members, made this darling card with the new DEER die. She used the NORTH POLE die as well. So cute, thanks Laura!

Libby Foreman, another crew member, had fun with the new and exclusive TOOTH FAIRY DIE. She made a princess, a ballerina, and a swimming girl.So much fun, thanks Libby!

Our next QuicKutz Crew meeting is Friday, December 19, the 3rd Friday of the month, because it fits in better with the holiday season. I'll check in with you later this week to show you a couple more samples. Have a great day -- see you soon at Lasting Memories!

New QuicKutz Release available Tuesday

The new QuicKutz release is here and will be available to purchase on Tuesday, November 18. The STORYBOOK alphabet is so cute and the animals look as though they have come straight out of an enchanted forest.

New 2x2 dies include: BUTTERFLY, FOX, HEDGEHOG, OWL, RABBIT and SQUIRREL. New 4x4 dies include: BRANCHES, BUTTERFLY, DEER, RABBIT, SQUIRREL, and two OWL dies. NEW border dies include the BUTTERFLIES and the TREE. The STORYBOOK alphabet is on a 4x8 die.

The 2x2 BUTTERFLY will be the FREE die of the month in December for Crew Members. 

The next QuicKutz Crew meeting is this coming Friday, November 21 at 6:30 p.m. Seventeen people signed up to participate in the swap. If you signed up, please bring 16 identical items to share. My challenge this month is to make To/From tags. I am planning on making 3 To/From tags for each person in the swap.

I am also planning on having a make 'n take available on Friday. If you want to bring your Tweezer Bees and adhesive, that would be great. Have a great week, and I'll see you soon at Lasting Memories.

QuicKutz Crew Swap

The QuicKutz Crew met last Friday, October 24. Some members of the crew sign up each month to participate in a swap. Each person makes something to share with everyone else. We had so many great items on Friday -- I can't choose a favorite.

Due to the holidays, the next QuicKutz Crew won't be on the fourth Friday of the month. Plan now to join us on Friday, November 21, at 6:30 p.m.

The challenge for next month is to make TO/FROM tags -- if you are participating in the swap, it will be great to have some fun tags for the holidays.

Crew Meeting on Friday, October 24

The next QuicKutz Crew meeting is this coming Friday, October 24. Sixteen people signed up to participate in the swap, so please bring 15 identical items (cards, tags, ATC's or whatever) to share.

Kim suggested that we bring recipes to share, if you decorate them using the new food dies, you will receive an extra ticket in the drawing for FREE QuicKutz.

Happy Fall!

A member of our QuicKutz Crew, Laura Worth, brought in this card for us and I wanted to share it with you. So cute, the SCARECROW is a great symbol for fall. Laura used the Revolution Scarecrow and the 2x2 Scarecrow. She added some glitz with her shimmer pen. Thanks for the card Laura!

QuicKutz FUN!

I know a lot of you have been having fun with the new release. Did you know that the QuicKutz Crew receives 20% off on all their QuicKutz purchases? If you are just now getting into QuicKutz or want to expand your collection, now is a great time to sign up and join the QuicKutz Crew.

The cost for a six month membership is $50 and you will receive some free goodies as well as your 20% discount. You also receive a FREE QuicKutz die every month from Lasting Memories. Some members will tell you that the best part of the QuicKutz Crew is our monthly meeting. (The renewal cost for the QuicKutz Crew is $35 for more of the same benefits!)

At the meeting, Crew members bring projects to show -- which is a wonderful way to receive and share ideas. Bringing in projects also earns you up to two tickets in the drawing for more FREE QuicKutz.

Sixteen (16) crew members signed up for the Swap at the next meet, so be sure and bring at least 15 identical items (tag, card, ATC or whatever) to share with everyone who signed up.

We had fun making the fall tag (above) at the last crew meeting. The leaf is from the new LEAVES Revolution die and the letters are the NUTMEG alphabet.

My challenge for next month is to do something with a recipe. You could do a page about a favorite recipe or if you are signed up to do the swap, you embellish a recipe for everyone. If you use the recent food and recipe dies, you will receive an extra ticket for our drawing for FREE QuicKutz!

Don't forget to VOTE!

We have the Democrat, the Republican, and the Vote dies now in the store!

One of our altered bras (for the Altered Bra Contest) was decorated with these dies and it is so cute! Did you know that you can vote for your favorite altered bra? The cost for each vote is $1 and the altered bra that raises the most money will win a $25 gift certificate. The proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Lasting Memories has a goal to raise $1,500 this year and voting lasts all week long.

Later in the week, I'll post pictures from the QuicKutz Crew meeting that met last Friday. Everyone made the cutest things! If you are on the QuicKutz Crew and did not get a chance to sign up for the swap, give me a call at the store and I will add your name.
